Facilities

Parc de Gros-Cap is an
exceptional site almost
completely surrounded by
the sea. A sandy beach
leads to the next point called
“Échouerie” where a large
sand bar shows up at low tide.
Red carved cliffs, a few
stunted trees and a large
grassy area adds to the
beauty of the setting.

Amenities

Free Wi-Fi Internet, ice,
fire wood, canteen, playground,
water sports, small shows,
parking, kayak launching.
Open 24 hours a day
and 7 days a week during
the summer.

Reception Building

This building is located at
the entrance of the park
and houses the reception
desk, washrooms, a canteen,
and the administrative office.

Campsites

We offer 106 grass-covered
campsites, serviced and
un-serviced. The sites either
have a great view on the sea
or are located very close to
the shore, and all are equipped
with picnic tables and fire pits.
Types of sites: 3 services,
2 services or primitive.
Electricity: 15 amp.

Shelters

Two large shelters provide
campers with protection against
bad weather. One shelter is
occasionally used for presenting
small shows on Tuesday and
Thursday nights.

 

 

Les Salines
Ready-to-Camp Cottages

Five quaint ready-to-camp
cottages called “Les Salines”
are now available. Each
unit provides comfortable
sleeping accommodation and
necessary cooking gear for
4 campers. Gear available:
countertop, sink with cold water,
dishes, utensils, mini refrigerator,
coffeemaker, toaster, pots
and pans, outdoor gas stove,
table and chairs, bedding, deck
and picnic table. Washrooms
and showers are located in the
Service Building less than two
steps away.

Services Building

The service building was
completely renovated in 2011
and is now adapted for people
with restricted mobility. It houses
washrooms (13), showers (13)
and a laundry room with 2 dryers
and 2 washers. Please note that
showers are at a cost ($1 / 5 min.)
A start-stop button controls
water supply.

Sea Kayak Pavilion

This is where you will find your
kayak guide! This is also where
we greet our guests and store the
nautical gear. On the second floor,
we give theoretical instruction to
those who register to get a sea
kayak certificate.

Sail Pavilion

It’s the first building you see
when you enter the park. This
is where you will find your sailing
instructor! This is also where
we greet our guests and store
the nautical gear.

Auberge de Gros-Cap

That aubergel is beautifully
located by the sea, the hostel is
a two-story building with 9 rooms
and a housing capacity of 30 people.
More precisely, there are 7 private
rooms with double beds, and
  2 rooms with 4 single beds
(2 bunk beds per room). A kitchen
equipped with two fridges allows
travelers to cook their meals. There
is also a dinning room, a living room
and 4 bathrooms. The stay includes
continental breakfast, bedding
and towels.

Workers’ Hostel

As its name implies, the Workers’
Hostel provides accommodation
for trainees and seasonal workers.
Attached to the Service Building,
it provides a total housing capacity
of 20 people with 10 small rooms for
2 people. More precisely, there are
9 rooms with 2 single beds per room,
and 1 room with a double bed.
A shared kitchen allows guests to
prepare their meals. There is also
a dining room/living room and
bathrooms on the first floor. The
bathrooms and laundry room are
shared with campground guests.
Full bedding and fresh linen once
a week are included. Showers are
at a cost ($1/5 minutes).
